As daily temperature slowly rise in February, plum flowers start blooming. This seasonal phenomenon is almost like telling the world that spring is on its way.
At Hamamatsu Flower Park, the plum flowers bloom in late January and peak in mid-February. Look for slight differences in the light and shade of colors (white, pink, and red) since it varies by variety. In the Hamamatsu area, the early cherry blossoms begin blooming after the plum blossoms, followed by wisterias and irises. Visitors can enjoy beautiful flowers well into June.
