Experience Mikan Orange Picking

There’s a unique region in Hamamatsu that starts at Mikkabi-cho in the north and extends to Hamakita Ward. Taking full advantage of its hilly south-facing terrain, it’s home to a thriving fruit production area.
Mikkabi mikan oranges are famous for being one of Japan’s leading mikan brands.
Visitors can even try their hand at picking Hamamatsu mikan oranges (otherwise known as “mikangari”). This unique experience can be enjoyed from mid-October until mid-December at various tourist farms in Hamamatsu City. Mikan oranges can also be picked as souvenirs and brought home.
