Glamping has been attracting more and more attention in recent years as a leisure activity that allows you to easily enjoy the outdoors.
This time, we will introduce Hamamatsu Fruit Park Tokinosumika, a recommended spot in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture where you can enjoy glamping and various other activities.
Please read until the end as we will be introducing a detailed report of our stay, including the tent we will be staying in, the luxurious BBQ menu, and how to enjoy the second day.
This time, I visited “Hamamatsu Fruit Park Tokinosumika” located in Miyakoda-cho, Kita Ward, Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
“Hamamatsu Fruit Park Tokinosumika” is a fruit theme park with facilities where you can enjoy various activities such as fruit picking, camping, and glamping, on a vast site the size of 9 Tokyo Domes.
In fact, at Hamamatsu Fruit Park Tokinosumika, you can enjoy glamping easily and at a reasonable price.
In order to find out the truth behind the rumors, this time we actually experienced glamping!
Glamping guests pay their accommodation fee at the entrance and then check in at the park’s restaurant “Perle”.
Actually, this is my first time solo glamping! I’m a little nervous because I’m not used to being outdoors…
Check-in starts at 15:00.
When you check in, you will be given a detailed explanation of the park and precautions to be taken during your stay, so it is safe even for first-time visitors or solo glamping guests.
And this is where I will be staying this time!
This is a cotton glamping tent from the long-established outdoor brand “NORDISK”. This simple and stylish tent will make you feel good.
There were two beds set up inside the tent.
It was my first time solo glamping, and I was impressed to see that the tent and bed were already set up! The inside of the tent is spacious and has lighting, so it seems comfortable to spend time even at night.
Hamamatsu Fruit Park Tokinosumika has glamping tents for 2 adults, as well as large tents that can accommodate 3 or more to 5 adults.
The tent is also equipped with a refrigerator and power supply!
You can also charge your smartphone and camera, so you can enjoy the outdoors while feeling as comfortable as staying in a hotel.
The tent we stayed in this time was located in the “Dream Dinosaur Square” where there are dinosaur objects, so you will be greeted by an impressive dinosaur next to the tent!
Both adults and children are excited to see the realistic appearance of dinosaurs.
After checking in and leaving your luggage in your tent, it’s time to take a walk around the park. A recommended spot is this “Tropical Wine Cave.”
“Tropical Wine Curve” is the first winery in western Shizuoka Prefecture. We have a wide variety of wines and alcoholic beverages, including original wines brewed at Fruit Park and wines from around the world.
We also recommend trying out the wines that interest you at the tasting corner.
This time, I bought Fruit Park Wine and Mikkabi Mikan Packed Wine to accompany my BBQ dinner.
When I returned to my tent after walking around the park, a BBQ stove was already standing by next to my tent!
You can leave all the preparation of the BBQ stove and charcoal to the staff. This is a great feature for outdoor beginners.
At the dinner time you specified at check-in, the staff will prepare a BBQ set for you.
The BBQ set is a luxurious menu with plenty of meat, seafood, and vegetables! Additionally, the set includes drinks (orange juice and oolong tea) and freshly cooked white rice.
As the sun gradually set, we were able to enjoy a delicious barbecue while enjoying the wine we had purchased earlier.
When you finish your meal, the staff will clean up the BBQ stove and dishes.
Even though I was solo glamping, I was able to spend a relaxing and comfortable time thanks to the courteous service of the staff.
Even if you want to enjoy the outdoor outdoors, the main thing you may be concerned about is whether or not there is a bath.
Glamping at Hamamatsu Fruit Park Tokinosumika allows you to use the highly concentrated carbonated spring bathing facility “Biotope Tombo no Yu” within the park.
Guests staying overnight will receive two bathing tickets for Tombo no Yu, so they can enjoy the bath not only on the night of their stay, but also on the morning of the next day!
The spacious washing area is fully equipped with amenities such as body soap, shampoo, and conditioner, making it a great place to wash away the fatigue of the day.
Rental bath towels and face towels are also included, so you can reduce the amount of luggage you have to carry during your stay.
Additionally, free amenities such as hairbrushes, skin care products, and toothbrushes were provided.
With all the services you’d expect from a hotel, you’ll almost forget that you’re glamping! !
The highly concentrated carbonated spring bath warmed me up and refreshed my mind and body.
When you think of glamping, you may have a strong image of the summer season, but in fact, glamping at Hamamatsu Fruit Park Tokinosumika is also recommended during the winter season.
The reason for this is the gorgeous illumination that spreads throughout the park!
Hamamatsu Fruit Park Tokinosumika holds a winter illumination event from late October to the end of January.
The 2023 season will be held from Saturday, October 21, 2023 to Sunday, January 28, 2024.
The “Tunnel of Light,” which looks like a scene from a movie, has a total length of 130 meters. You will be captivated by the beautiful light that seems to fall down on you.
In addition, a light and sound “fountain show” will be held at the fountain plaza!
Japan’s largest fountain illumination show is truly impressive. It was as if I lost track of time as I watched the fantastic co-existence of light and sound.
The first day ended with a walk around the park, a winery, BBQ, carbonated springs, and an illumination and fountain show. It was already getting late, so I went into my tent and went to bed.
The second day starts with breakfast. Meals are buffet style at the restaurant “Perle”.
With a wide selection of Japanese and Western side dishes, you’ll have a hard time deciding what to eat in the morning. The salad corner is also well stocked.
The dessert corner has a wide variety of fruits, sweets, jellies, and more.
The staple food is rice and bread, both of which are prepared and you can choose according to your preference.
After eating breakfast, relax in the tent for a while and prepare for check-out.
Glamping check-out time is 10am. Just like when checking in, complete the check-out procedure at the reception desk of the restaurant “Perle”.
Glamping at Hamamatsu Fruit Park Tokinosumika allows you to enjoy activities within the park even after you check out.
The recommended activity for the second day is the seasonal fruit picking experience, which is the main activity at Hatsu Fruit Park Tokinosumika!
If you move from the west area where the glamping tents are located to the east area where the orchard is located, the “Tropical Train” will take you to the orchard for free.
Let’s get on the Tropical Train and proceed through the eastern area.
In the east area, there is a vast orchard where approximately 15 types of fruits can be harvested each year.
Late October, when I visited for this interview, was the season for mandarin orange and persimmon picking.
Get off the Tropical Train in front of the tangerine orchard and try your hand at picking tangerines!
When picking fruits at Hamamatsu Fruit Park Tokinosumika, you can pick even just one fruit. Since they only sell the amount they harvest by weight, it is also recommended for people who want to enjoy a variety of fruits little by little.
The mandarin orange field is full of brightly colored early mandarin oranges!
Hamamatsu Fruit Park Tokinosumika grows three types of early-ripe mandarin oranges that are sweet and easy to eat.
Furthermore, in the persimmon field next to us, sweet persimmons called “Jirogaki”, which are native to Morimachi, Shizuoka Prefecture, were growing.
Picking fruits under the blue sky while feeling nature is an extraordinary activity that will give you a liberating feeling.
When you come glamping, please enjoy fruit picking at Hamamatsu Fruit Park Tokinosumika.
Hamamatsu Fruit Park Tokinosumika also has a large play area where small children can enjoy.
There are many events held every season, so please come and visit us at least once.
This time we introduced glamping at Hamamatsu Fruit Park Tokinosumika.
If you want to enjoy glamping easily and at a reasonable price, be sure to check out Hamamatsu Fruit Park Tokinosumika!

A panoramic view of Hamamatsu and Lake Hamana. A sky professional introduces special places
Mikkabi area in autumn and winter, when the mandarin orange trees bear fruit and the wide sky is sparkling with orange.
Among them, I visited the Hamanako Paragliding School, which is a 5-minute drive from the Tomei Mikkabi Interchange, because I heard that it had a spectacular view.
We spoke to Tsubasa Aoki, the principal of the school, at the paragliding flight site that overlooks Lake Hamana from an altitude of 420 meters.
