Now is the season! Blueberry picking experience at Sato Farm “Aoitori” | Miyakodamachi, Hamana Ward, Hamamatsu City

Blueberries are in season in early summer from June to August.

Did you know that you can also go blueberry picking in Hamamatsu?

This time, I went to Sato Fam “Aoitori” located in Miyakodamachi, Hamana Ward, Hamamatsu City, which is also featured in the Yaramaika Tourism.

A plan that includes a 30-minute blueberry picking experience and original gelato containing whole blueberries.

Not only can you eat the blueberries you picked on the spot, but you can also take home a pack of them.

Now, let’s go pick blueberries, which are in season now!

Blueberry picking experience at Sato Farm “Aoitori” At Aoitori, blueberry picking is held from late May to early August every year.

There are 20 types of blueberries grown here, so you can always find delicious blueberries during the season.

After checking in, pick up your souvenir pack and head inside the house. All blueberries are grown in greenhouses.

On sunny days, the sun may feel strong, but you can borrow a large straw hat from the farm.

I also borrowed one, and it really gives you the feel of a farm experience♪

It’s nice that there’s a roof, so even if it rains, you can enjoy it without getting wet.

First, the director, Mr. Sato, showed us around the greenhouse and taught us about how to pick blueberries, rare varieties, and delicious blueberries.

Blueberries growing in clusters are ripe and ready to eat when they are all colored. Mr. Sato also eats the food every day to check the taste.

After a thorough lecture from Mr. Sato, we finally started picking blueberries!

All you can eat for 30 minutes! You can pick any blueberries

At Aoi Tori, you can pick any blueberries in the large greenhouse.

When you compare them, you’ll find that they vary in size and flavor, from sweet to well-balanced sourness, depending on the variety and wood. Walk around the house looking for your favorite tree♪

I found a tree with big fruit! I’m surprised that there are blueberries this big.

When you think of blueberries, you think of purple, but there were also cute pink blueberries.

While walking in the park, I found a blue bird perched on a tree!

The name of the farm is “Aoitori”, and if you find this blue bird, you will be happy ♡

It seems that the blue bird is always somewhere in the park, so be sure to look for it.

You can also pick your own blueberries as souvenirs, and as long as you close the lid of the cup, you can put any blueberries in. I also added large blueberries and pink blueberries♪

Gelato with extra-large whole blueberries

In Yaramaika Tourism plan, you can enjoy gelato after picking blueberries.

An original gelato containing whole extra-large blueberries harvested at this “Aoitori”.

The taste of blueberries and milk go well together and is delicious! !

I ate it at a rest area in front of the hydrangeas, which were just at their peak ♪

It’s relaxing to be surrounded by beautiful hydrangeas.

This plan includes blueberry gelato, but they also sell smoothies and shaved ice that are perfect for hot summer days.

Only 20 shaved ice meals a day!

We also recommend homemade blueberry jam!

The blue bird and blueberry packaging is also cute♡

Benefits of blueberries that are not only delicious

Some of you may have heard that blueberries are good for your eyes.

The purple pigment anthocyanin is said to have the effect of relieving eye strain. If you suffer from eye strain, blueberries may help relieve it.

Blueberries also contain various types of polyphenols with antioxidant properties, which are said to be effective in preventing adult diseases such as controlling arteriosclerosis and LDL cholesterol.

Since the skin can be eaten, it is also high in dietary fiber. It will also help your intestinal health as it will support you in adjusting your intestinal environment.

Blueberries also contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin E, which is rare in fruits, so they are essential for creating beautiful skin.

Blueberries are not only delicious, but also have health and beauty benefits.

How did you like the report on the experience of picking ”Aoi Tori” blueberries, which are in season now?

Apparently some customers come every week during the event!

The park is very spacious and the aisles are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and strollers.

The blueberries are within reach even for small children, so you can enjoy them with your children.
