It is a 4-minute walk east from Sukenobu Station on the Enshu Railway, near the center of Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
“365BASE outdoor hostel” is a hotel filled with fun and exciting concepts.
The hotel’s rooms are designed with an outdoor concept and are filled with a variety of playful features, creating an exciting space for adults and children alike.
365BASE, which started as a shared house in 2015, was transformed into an outdoor-themed hotel in 2020, and has become a lodging destination visited by fans from all over the world.
There are many rooms that are rare even across the country, such as facilities that make you feel like you’re camping outdoors while indoors, large tents, and rooms where you can boulder.
Each room on the first floor has a permanent grill installed so you can have a barbecue on the terrace.
This month’s recommendation is “365BASE outdoor hostel,” where you can spend a fun time different from your everyday life.
The beginning of 365BASE
365BAS representative, Mr. Hirotoshi Furuhashi, worked for about 10 years in product planning and store management for a major apparel brand before moving to a different industry, real estate, to further his experience.
He then went independent in 2015 and now runs a real estate business in Hamamatsu City.
“While I was working for a major apparel brand, I was scheduled to be transferred to China, but while the company’s policy was ‘global,’ I personally thought that life would be more enjoyable if I focused on ‘local,’ so I decided to resign from the apparel brand and return to my hometown of Hamamatsu.” Mr. Furuhashi says.
365BASE started when they renovated company housing and rented it out as a shared house.
The business started out as a shared house rental property in 2015, and as times have changed, the property has been renovated and equipped with “dormitory-style” bedrooms to accommodate the “inbound” travelers that have become a more common term since around 2017.
Then, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020, we decided to completely renovate our accommodation.
Based on the theme of “outdoors,” which was inspired by the desire of the company’s president, Mr. Furuhashi, “to go outdoors and camp when I was a child,” the hotel has completed construction of a total of 36 rooms filled with playfulness that can be enjoyed all day long, even while staying indoors.
The renovated rooms are filled with a variety of surprising features, making it a popular inn that attracts fans from all over the country.

Each room offers a different atmosphere, including an exciting room that makes you feel like you’re camping outdoors, a room where you’ll be greeted by cute stuffed animals, and a room where you can experience bouldering.
The rooms are equipped with utensils for simple cooking, so you can buy ingredients and have a barbecue, and have a fun time with everyone.

No.1 Glamping Room (with BBQ) 37.8㎡ (Capacity: approx. 8 people)
The glamping rooms can accommodate up to eight people and are a great way to experience the outdoors with your family and friends.
The large tent inside is made by Nordisk, a global outdoor brand from Denmark.
365BASE has an outdoor concept and offers interior decorations that are authentic.
Additionally, the terrace is equipped with an authentic American-made Charbroil gas barbecue grill.
Feel free to bring your own ingredients. Enjoy a wonderful time with your loved ones.
No.2: Treehouse Room (with BBQ) 37.8㎡ (6 people max.)
The room was designed based on the concept of a “tree house,” something that the company’s president, Mr. Furuhashi, has longed for since he was a child.
The bed space is modeled after a tree house made with a living tree as its base, making it feel like a secret base!
The entire room gives the impression of being in a forest, allowing you to fully enjoy an extraordinary experience.
The room is equipped with a WEBER electric barbecue grill, so you can enjoy a barbecue in comfort regardless of the weather!
No.3: Camping Dormitory (with BBQ) 37.8㎡ (Capacity: approx. 10 people)
For training camps or large group stays, the “Camp Dormitory” can accommodate around 10 people and is perfect!
The separate bed spaces allow for privacy and comfort, making it perfect for families, friends traveling together, or groups.
The living space of the “Indoor Camping Room,” where you can enjoy the camping atmosphere all year round, is equipped with a 100-inch projector!
It looks like a wonderful time can be had sitting in the chairs arranged around the bonfire, enjoying movies and music on the big screen, or chatting with friends.
There is also a terrace where you can enjoy a full-scale barbecue.
No.4: CARIFORNIA DOUBLE ROOM 18.9㎡ (capacity 2 people)
The “CALIFORNIA Double Room” features a bright and open design inspired by California on the West Coast of the United States.
The stylish and comfortable design makes it perfect for couples or friends, as well as business trips.
You can also sit on the two-seater sofa and use the PopIn Aladdin projector to enjoy movies and video streaming services on a large screen of approximately 120 inches.
Relax and enjoy the feeling of being on a California beach while watching your favorite movies and shows on Netflix or YouTube.
No.5: SAFARI 37.8㎡ (Capacity: 4 people)
The “SAFARI Room” is a room where you can enjoy the safari feeling surrounded by animals, and you’ll be sure to exclaim, “So cute!” the moment you enter.
The “SAFARI Room” allows you to spend a fun time with family and friends in a home party-like atmosphere, and is equipped with a large kitchen where you can cook your own meals.
The room is equipped with a BRUNO hot plate, takoyaki maker, two-burner induction stove, microwave, etc., so you can buy ingredients at a nearby supermarket and enjoy cooking together to spend a special time together.
The maximum occupancy is 4 people, but up to 6 people can be accommodated with an additional charge. (Recommended: 4 adults + 2 children)
No.6: Bouldering: 37.8㎡ (capacity: about 4 people)
A special room where you can experience bouldering, which was also a focus of attention at the Tokyo Olympics!
Why not try your hand at bouldering on a bouldering wall where protrusions called “holds” cover the entire wall?
Even if you fall while bouldering, there are mats on the floor so you can play safely.

There are many ways to use shared living spaces
The shared living room on the first floor is approximately 80 square meters (approximately 48 tatami mats) and can also be used as a venue for corporate training and meetings.
It is only available on weekdays, but there are days when it is unavailable during busy periods such as spring break, Golden Week, and summer vacation, so please contact the hotel for more details.
