With the arrival of warm spring, the Lake Hamana Flower Festival begins! The 2023 event will be held from March 21st to June 11th. The two main venues are Hamamatsu Flower Park and Hamanako Garden Park.
During the Flower Festival, visitors will be welcomed by the seasonal flowers and beautiful gardens that decorate the area around Lake Hamana, Fukuroi City, Morimachi, and Kakegawa City. You can also have fun collecting flower stamps at 25 points of interest.

Cherry blossoms, wisteria, roses, irises, and irises…
In the area around Lake Hamana, where various flowers bloom with the arrival of spring, the “Lake Hamana Flower Festival 2023” will be held from March 21st to June 11th, where you can enjoy a flower relay.
There are two main venues: Hamamatsu Flower Park and Hamanako Garden Park. Both are comprehensive parks where you can enjoy seasonal flowers and plants up close.

From February 1, 2023 to June 30, 2023, including during the Flower Festa period, you can also enjoy stamping flowers on your stamp book.
The stamps will be installed at 17 locations and 25 flower spots scattered around Lake Hamana, Fukuroi City, Morimachi, and Kakegawa City. This time we will show you where to install 25 flower stamps.

・Shoryu Weeping Plum (Mt. Okusa): Best time to see…early February to mid-March

There are 350 weeping plum trees that can be seen in the park. The zoo’s unique style of rising dragon makes it look exactly like a dragon rising to the sky!

Approximately 300 meters above sea level. Weeping plum blossoms on Okuyama Plateau reach their peak a little later than those at the foot of the mountain.
The approximately 80 weeping plum trees blooming in the running water garden in front of the park are a must-see! Look up and enjoy the beauty of the flowers.

If you want to walk through a tunnel of pure white plum blossoms, go to Chorakuji Temple.
The plum tunnel is located on a 100 meter long stone staircase along the mountain slope that leads to the site of the main hall. The height difference between the stone steps and the site of the main hall is approximately 30 meters. Why not take a walk while admiring the plum blossoms?
