Many people might think of snow when it comes to winter in Japan. However, it rarely snows in Hamamatsu. Even when it snows in Tokyo and Nagoya, Hamamatsu will only see rain. In fact, Hamamatsu has a mild climate year-round and is often referred to as the California of Japan. During the summer, seaside areas in the Hamamatsu region, including the Hamamatsu Station area, are comparatively cool. As you go farther inland, it can become extremely hot. In 2020, Japan recorded its highest temperature at 41.1℃ (106℉). Why not experience Japan’s warmest climate right here in Hamamatsu? (The photo shows sunflowers at Hamanako Garden Park)
